Buggin : A Brothers Tale, focuses on Jerome Mitchell, a college professor in Charlotte, NC, who finds himself one third of a triangle including Yolanda Walker and Bernard Fox; a triangle of narcissism, obsession and passion.

Beginning with Jeromes divorce from his wife of 12 years, the story catapults he, Yolanda and Bernard toward a confrontation on the battlefield of love, longing and desire. Jerome struggles with understanding his place in a world hes been away from for over 12 years. Through trial and error, Jerome picks his way, never knowing how close he is to a war he cant win.

In Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play, A Raisin in the Sun, set in Chicago in the late 50’s, early 60’s, she wove a compelling story of family, love, and dreams gone awry, Willy is the character who steals the death benefit insurance money left to the family by the elder Walter Lee Younger. In an effort to keep her family together, Mama Younger used a portion of the money toward a down payment on a house located in a segregated part of the Chicago. The remainder, entrusted to the younger Walter Lee who has dreams of his own, is stolen by Willy Harris. CROOKED, a work of fiction, examines the life of Willy Harris, who serves a pivotal role in the original play.

Don Taylor was born in Charles Town, WV but primarily raised in Philadelphia, PA. For over thirty years he worked as a Human Services professional as an individual, marital, family and group counselor. Much of his most recent clinical work has focused on manhood issues. Buggin’: A Brother’s Tale is his first fiction novel, since the publication of a group treatment program, SEED: Self Esteem and Expression Development for African-American Adolescents.
